Chris Franck

Chris Franck is FOCUS Health's Clinical Operations Manager.

Chris is a Medicare-registered psychologist with a Masters degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.  Prior to completing an 18 month supervised transition to clinical work, he had a 15 year management career in Defence Industries and a 12 year career as OD Specialist/ Management Consultant in the corporate financial milieu concentrating on Change Management and IT systems implementations.

Chris’s Australian vocational journey covers being the director/co-owner of a Hobart based management development/consulting firm, human resources manager of the Children and Families Division and human resources consultant for two public hospitals in Tasmania.  As a psychologist he worked in public psychiatry, adult community mental health teams in rural and remote areas of Tasmania and Victoria, NW Tasmania Division of General Practice, Ballarat and District Division of General Practice, WestVic Division of General Practice in Horsham and Ballarat Primary Care.

Apart from working in public psychiatry and ATODS programs/teams, his experience includes having a part time Medicare registered private practice.  Chris has experience in a wide range of psychological disorders and his therapeutic approach developed around evidence-based cognitive methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness CBT, as well as trauma work employing EMDR and Schema Therapy.  He has a special interest in organisational factors and the impact thereof on individuals.
