Amanda Stone
Amanda has been a registered psychologist since 1997. Prior to this she had several careers including nursing, receptionist at the Genealogical Society, weight loss therapist and fitness leader, teacher’s aide, and disability support worker. Amanda also studied office skills, nutrition, theology, philosophy and sociology. These varied fields provided good life experiences and assisted in developing Amanda’s core beliefs of equal worth and the right of all people to adequate resources, opportunities and wellbeing.
Amanda values respectfulness, honesty, caring and compassion. The cornerstone of her therapeutic work rests soundly on Humanistic principles, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and the strategies and tenets of Acceptance and Commitment therapy.
